LG phone Shine

It’s been a long time since the LG Chocolate was first released to mobile shoppers in Australia. Many have wondered when the next fashionable phone from LG would be developed and released, the iMobile team included. Perhaps LG’s own employees were undecided on how they would design their next Black Label design handset, resulting in the near 12 months taken to bring us the next model. The new ‘LG Shine’ mobile phone popped up in the company’s home market of South Korea in October last year to rave reviews, before its GSM/3G cousin was unveiled at the CES trade show in Las Vegas this January.
Now, we have a prototype of the U970 LG Shine model destined for 3 stores. I can’t help but think of the Chocolate when I look at the LG Shine, perhaps because LG Shine shares the same shape. But gone are the touch-sensitive keys and glossy plastic shell. LG Shine have a silver, brushed metal slider phone with its screen hidden behind a veil of reflective plastic, making for a smooth, refined finish. There’s now a jog dial with two buttons for directional control, while the keypad beneath is a flat sheet of metal with indentations, like Motorola’s RAZR phones.

Sony Ericsson-K770-Cyber-Shot

Today in London, Sony Ericsson announced the latest addition to its Cyber-shot family of camera phones, the new K770 Cyber-shot Phone. Like the other Cyber-shot cameraphones, the K770 Cyber-shot Phone makes use of an auto-focus lens system to make sure that photos come out crisp and clean. In fact, the company claims that prints of up to A4 (roughly 8.5″ x 11″) in size can be made from the K770’s photos. Considering its auto-focus lens system, the K770 Cyber-shot Phone is still reasonably thin in profile, measuring about 14.5mm (.57″).
One of the more user friendly aspects of K770’s camera is how it makes use of a set of backlighted icons on the numeric keypad to show users which keys work as shortcuts of K770 Cyber-shot Phone to which functions, saving users the hassle of navigating through the camera’s menu system. K770 Cyber-shot Phone can activating the camera by itself is also easy: just slide the lens’ protective cover out of the way.

Nokia-N-99-N series

The Nokia N99, is it real. Pictures are floating around the net. Blogs are talking about it, bookmarks are getting interesting reviews. Social networks, are spreading the word. Faster then wild fire, spreads a fire. The speculation is end less. The true question is. Will, this phone be on the market anytime soon? That question, has been on every nokia fans mind. The answer, is still un answered. Though, some high profile blogs have reported, that the phone is still in its building stage.
Considering, the iphone has just been released. Maybe it is a good idea, the Nokia N99 stays put. What the phone offers, is still not yet answered. Though, the pictures floating around. Looks, like Nokia will be having windows mobile OS? If this is true, will this be worth buying? What version of windows will they run? Shifty sources, have claimed. That the phone, might be using a new mobile OS. Vista, which was earlyier released from microsoft. Proclaiming itself, as the next best OS out there. Another great, OS by microsoft themself. Though, vista being on a mobile phone. Will be extremely insane, and radical!
Another odd thing about the Nokia N99, is the keyboard. They seem, to not care about the new futuristic designs. Touch screen, surface touch, or anything related to not clicking. Instead, the phone has a “qwerty” keyboard layout. The general opinon of the mass media, consumer. They seem to be ok with it. As long as the phone carries wifi, email, gps, consumers seem to be satisfied. Speculating, at the other phones in the current market. It might be safe to say, the Nokia N99 will have a camera and mp3 system. So that you may share, send and take pictures. As well as download, your favorite song of the day.
With all the speculation on the Nokia N99, we can only whisper and type away. What we wish this phone will have. Hopefully, in the coming future, we will have more general information on the phone. Maybe even a few real phone pictures a long with some nice facts, from the one great reliable source. Nokia themselves!

Luna-8600-nokia

Just last week, pictures of the sleek looking Nokia 8600http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_8600_Luna Lunahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LUNA mobile phone were doing the rounds on the Internet. Now, Nokia has officially unveiled this phone which has been artistically crafted from chrome, titaniumhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/iii)_fluorid and stainless steel.
Along with the Nokia 8600 Luna, Nokia also unveiled two more mobile phones today. However, compared to those, the Luna is definately a much higher ranged mobile phone.
The Nokia 8600 Luna handset is made from smoked glass and according to the company is not just a phone; its perpetually pulsating illumination transforms the phone from an inanimate object into a trusted companion with an organic, virtually alive form.
Aestheticshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aesthetics aside, the Nokia 8600 Luna does incorporate one rather interesting innovations. This phone happens to be the first Nokia mobile phone to have a single micro-USB porthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Serial_Bus that allows owners to streamline common activities such as charging, audio and data connectivity, into a single connection.
The 8600 Luna handset is a slide format quadhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QUaD -band GSM phoneOne-World-One-Phone . It has a 2 mega pixelhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel camera and Bluetooth. This phone measures just 107 x 45 x 16mm and weighs only 143gms.
According to the company, the Nokia 8600 Luna handset has been named after the Roman goddesshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goddess of moonlight, Luna, who was represented as a mysteriously captivating beauty encircled in a soft, yet radiating light.

The Nokia Corporation announces with pride, its new invention of a smartphone thats named as Nokia 3250, a Series 60 on Symbian operating system. This handset has a swiveling keypad that makes the whole body look stylish. The user will be excited to know that the phone can be twisted in three ways in order to convert itself into a music player, a camera and then again a smartphone when twisted each time. Great isn't it?? It resembles Nokia 3230 in looks meaning it has got a similar keypad which is situated right below the display, though Nokia 3230 did not have a swiveling keypad. The Nokia 3250 has got thick edges making it look sharp featured.

Nokia-N70

With a considerable success after the introduction of its N-series, like Nokia N90, the Nokia Corporation is quick to introduce its another handset named Nokia N70. The Nokia N70 looks great unlike the monotonous inventions of handsets. It has got a compact body wherein the display and the keypad are perfectly situated. An availabilty of adjustable brightness which is excellent is also provided with N70. The keypad is made better with its backlight. The handset has a Five-way navigational key. Now it will be quite weird to know that some of the features of N70 are similar to that of one of the previous inventions of Nokia i.e Nokia 6680 though these features have been improved upon. The Nokia N70's screen and keypad are well surrounded by a stainless steel bezel and so it adds to its exceedingly classy as well as stylish looks. But the steel bezel will easily reveal the scratches if there are any.

Nokia-6125

Nokia 7480 Fashion Phone Concept for left, and for right -->
What will you get if you take Nokia 7380 L’Amour collection phone, mix it with the design of LG SV280 “Banana” and add the “slimming” technologies applied in Ultra Edition II sliders like Samsung U700?
Well, you could get something really awful.
But if you are a talented enterprising designer, you can come up with the next generation Nokia 7480 fashion phone concept:
It’s hard to tell from the pictures how the dialing keypad for such Nokia phone will be implemented.
But otherwise it’s a really neat design concept, which would look really cool and might raise quite a few eyebrows if implemented in next gen Nokia 7480.
And who knows, it might even be an effective answer to the rumored iPhone Nano, that Apple keeps hinting about in it’s patent applications.

The main idea behind Nokia Morph concept phone is the use of nanotechnology based flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces. These materials should enable Nokia to produce a mobile device that “…might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform their mobile device into radically different shapes”.
Different shaped devices you see in the picture, is actually the same one mobile handset, that transforms itself into the concrete shape according to the user needs.
The concept was developed by Nokia research center in cooperation with Cambridge University and is on display at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Nokia has unveiled the latest addition to the Prism Collection, the Nokia 7900. True to its line, the 7900 incorporates the geometric patterns in design, signature to the Nokia Prism Collection line. The handset was made in collaboration with Frédérique Daubal, a French designer. It features diamond-cut patterns with a crystal center key. It also boasts an OLED display, various wallpapers and accessories made specifically for it, a unique aluminum back cover, 1GB internal memory, 3G connectivity, 2-megapixel camera and a choice among the 49 colors available for the keymat. The Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism has a price tag of US$544.

Nokia N98, is it better than iPhone?
It is evident that the iPhone success does not allow other mobile phone producers to live in peace. Nokia is among them.
According to Nokia France, in the nearest future the "iPhone killers" line will be enriched with one new model from the famous Finnish company - Nokia N98. Regardless of the loud Nokia announcements that iPhone cannot be the rival of the N series smartphones, the company is in the process of preparing a reasonable answer to the "apple" bestseller. As it can be clearly seen by its design N98 resembles very much with the iPhone, but according to many technical features new smartphone from Nokia is even better than its rival.
Nokia N98 technical features:
Built in 7,2 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics(5x optical and 20x digital zoom)
3,5 inches sensor VGA display reflecting 16 million colors
Built in GPRS receiver
OS Symbian S70 3rd version
Graphic speed advancer
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, HSDPA
According to design and technical features Nokia N98 makes a great impression. We will hope that as the result of the war between smartphone producers the users are going to win having the best products with the bets price.

ITwire reports that Microsoft’s mobile communications business international marketing director John Starkweather said that there were ongoing discussions between Microsoft and Nokia but did not announced or hint at any products.
Of course, I’m sure that Microsoft has been talking to Nokia about this before. In fact last year, there was a rumor on that subject. However, that might be a long way from having a Windows Mobile powered Nokia device.
To be fair, Nokia is doing OK, it is still the #1 handset maker in the world, but their recent gains have mostly been in the emerging countries, where the margins are low. To capture the lucrative smartphone market should they go with Symbian, Linux, Windows Mobile, or try everything and see what works? I think that Nokia can try everything, but with Windows Mobile, it will have a harder time differentiating itself from Samsung or HTC, the current top Windows phones makers.

Nokia is set to charm the world with an absolute stunner of a phone. The new concept, christened Nokia Aeon, when launched for real is also being dubbed the iPhone Killer, for reasons very obvious.
The Aeon concept shown by Nokia has the keypad making way for a touchscreen and is extremely thin. Though it looks super delicate, it is believed that the Nokia Aeon will have all that needs to beat the Apple iPhone in a tough market, worldwide. The Finnish phone behemoth has reiterated that the Aeon is still in the design as R&D progresses fast.
If Nokia really manages to come out with a phone that resembles the design of the Aeon, it has the potential to really become the aspirational phone, instead of the iPhone. Apple is not a major power in the cell phone market outside US despite the iPhone being available in many countries now. On the other hand, Nokia is. All they need is a brilliant product, and the Nokia Aeon looks like it can do that. As you can see from the photos on this page, it is easy to fall in love with

Nokia N92

Europe : Nokia announced a new commercial DVB-H pilot in Stockholm with Teracom in Sweden. Nokia is supplying the Nokia Mobile Broadcast System 3.0 and Nokia N92 mobile ( above ) TV devices to the pilot which will last from October to December 2006 and includes 400 consumers. The project is a co-operation between ATG, Boxer, Nokia, Sveriges Radio, Sveriges Television/UR, Telenor and Teracom.

The pilot participants will be able to watch fourteen TV channels and listen to four radio channels in the Stockholm city region, where a network has been built for high quality indoor and outdoor coverage. The objective is to evaluate what Swedish consumers think about commercial broadcast mobile TV.

ATG, Boxer, Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Television will provide content for the pilot. The test will be delivered using Nokia Mobile Broadcast Solution 3.0, and the pilot participants will use mobile devices from Nokia, the Nokia N92. Teracom will be responsible for the network, the broadcast and operating of the platform.

"We strongly believe in the capability of the DVB-H technology as well as in the mobile TV service, and we are looking forward to presenting the full potential and interest of broadcast mobile TV in Sweden," says Sigurd Leth, Multimedia Director for Nokia Nordic.

This is the second mobile TV pilot in Sweden where Nokia is one of the main suppliers of DVB-H technology. Last week, Nokia announced a new contract with TeliaSonera Sweden for a complete DVB-H pilot system, including Nokia Mobile Broadcast System 3.0 and Nokia N92 mobile TV devices, underpinned by Nokia's hosting and systems integration know-how.

DVB-H technology complements existing operator networks, optimizing capacity and quality. It offers consumers the chance to enjoy high quality terrestrial digital broadcasts along with voice telephony and internet access all in a single device. Broadcast mobile TV will offer new business opportunities for mobile service providers, content and broadcast companies, infrastructure and handset manufacturers as well as technology providers.

The feedback from different mobile TV pilots has been promising. Results from pilots on broadcast (DVB-H) mobile TV services amongst consumers in Finland, the UK, Spain and France have revealed clear consumer demand for such services as well as important indications over future business models for commercial mobile TV services.

NOKIA MOBILE

Nokia Ovi online services
Besides the current Nokia mobile phone and accessory assortment, a lot of attention was paid to the Nokia online services and in particular OVI. OVI (Finnish for 'door') is a gateway to Nokia Services. Emile Baak emphasized that OVI can be used for Nokia services and moreover it is also a door to mobile Internet etc. With reason the name is OVI, 'door'; a door to everything concerning mobile Internet. This is also what OVI is aiming to be; a gateway for people to access the mobile Internet either from a Nokia device or from a computer. Nokia Services within OVI are divided in four categories: N-Gage, Music, Maps and Blogging.
